We are a family owned and operated service in Gwandalan, NSW where our highly qualified educators have been providing quality care and learning opportunities since 2006.

Our service caters to 60 children per day from ages 6 weeks-6 years. We are open Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm, with all meals provided.

Our service consists of 4 rooms, being divided into ages 0 - 2 years, 2 - 3 years, 3 - 4 years and 4 - 5 years. We implement a play based school readiness program to assist with transition to school for our 4 - 5 year room.

At Gwandalan Preschool, we strive to create an environment that provides feelings of acceptance, value, belonging, equity and inclusion, while supporting children to develop in all learning dispositions.

Our educators are highly skilled and passionate individuals, with over 30 years experience collectively.

Our educational program and practice aims to enhance children's learning and development.

Educators use a reflective approach in an ongoing cycle of assessment and planning that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework, to provide opportunities that incorporate rich play-based learning and child led experiences.

The educational program is a reflection of children's strengths, abilities, knowledge, cultures, ideas and interests.

Through our understanding of the benefits of working in partnership with families, we  we strongly encourage and support our families to contribute to the educational program.

At Gwandalan Preschool our vision is to create an environment that provides our children and families with an overwhelming sense of support.

We aim to achieve this through collaboration with families, educators, children and the wider community.

Indigenous Art.jpg

We have been so lucky to work alongside Ang Bennett to create a one of a kind artwork for our centre.

Ang is a local aboriginal woman who lives on Darkinjung country.

The artwork is specific to our centre and explores the journey for the children during their time at Gwandalan Preschool.

We are focused on embedding indigenous perspectives meaningfully and feel that this artwork assists this goal.
